Shahid Kapoor will do some unique dancing in Mausam

Shahid Kapoor will do some unique dancing in Mausam
By Subhash K. Jha, May 31, 2010 - 10:41 IST

Shahid KapoorIf it's a Shahid Kapoor film, there must be some heavy duty dancing. Or so it seems, going by the way the music in his father's directorial debut Mausam has been moulded to accommodate Shahid's dancing shoes.

According to a source very close to the project, the film's aesthetically-inclined director Pankaj Kapoor had initially planned an exclusive heavily melody-based music score based only ragas.

In fact, Pritam Chakraborty who's doing the music score in
Mausam has just recorded a raga-based love melody in the voice of Rashid Khan.

Says Pritam, "It was meant to be only a small music piece. But when Pankaj-ji heard the tune he wanted it as a full-fledged song."

Pritam admits the music in
Mausam would be heavily melodious in the tradition of the great love stories down the ages fromBobby to Love Story to Ek Duje Ke Liye to Saawariya.

But now just days after Pritam recorded the raga-based number comes the news that a specially-designed dance track will be put together for
Mausam.

A source close to the project who doesn't want to be named says, "There was closed-door meeting between the producers, the director and Shahid Kapoor. It was unanimously decided that there would be a very unique song-and-dance. It was felt that
Mausam was too expensive a project to make it seem even slightly experimental in flavour."

Says the film's producer Sheetal Talwar, "We don't want to disappoint Shahid's target audience, the young fans. So yes, Shahid will dance after all."

Shahid's buddy Ahmed Khan is now busy trying to accommodate the dance into his crammed diary. He has no choice. Shahid has to dance.

Shahid Kapoor Shedding light on relationships yet hiding what things

Shahid Kapoor Shedding light on relationships, yet hiding what things

Posted by newspostraj in Entertainment

If you always dreamt of being the most special girl in the life of Bollywood hottie-Shahid Kapoor, here is your chance.
Shahid has recently spoken about the qualities he would like to see in his dream woman and these include-honesty, sensitivity, a good sense of humor and a strong sense of loyalty.
Also the woman has to be real and we might add that gorgeous looks won’t harm either.
Shahid was once very open about his private life when he was in a relationship with actress Kareena Kapoor. After he had a very public break-up with her, he avoided speaking to the media about his relationship.
After he let go of his committed status, Shahid has been linked with a bevy of Bollywood beauties like Amrita Rao, Vidya Balan and Priyanka Chopra. He,however, never admitted that he was going around with anyone of them.

Recently he even claimed that he will never be a hypocrite and always admit about the status of his relationship.
Well we are not doubting his intentions, but if that were the case why he did not speak when he was having a relationship with Vidya.
Recently Vidya claimed that she was indeed involved with Shahid and his constant criticism was detrimental to her over all self confidence.
Well we think that it was really gutsy for a woman to come out and speak about her relationship even when the man himself was not willing to talk about it.
Take a bow,Vidya.

Shahid Kapoor miss playing cricket on the road

I miss playing cricket on the road Shahid Kapoor

Mumbai: He has been talked about more for his relationships with the hottest girls in town than his works. But Shahid Kapoor prefers to talk about his 'singledom'. "I think I am single and quite ready to mingle. That's about it," he says.

Though stardom has given the actor the much needed spotlight and quite a fan following among girls, he does think that there are certain things he misses in his life, terribly that is. "I miss just taking a walk or playing cricket on the road. I also miss having panipuri at public places. But I don't complain," he adds.

Though doing an ad for a fairness cream has invited criticism from many quarters, he has his own stance on it. "The ad is about how men should take care of their persona and groom themselves. And Indian men have this perception that they should never groom themselves since they are men," he says.

He has been very protective about his younger brother Ishaan. Does he want him to follow in his footsteps? "I don't want to talk about him as it's not apt for him to see things being written about him or his pictures in newspapers. He should grow up like a normal boy,"

Since the time he has made his debut in Hindi films, there have been countless occasions when it has been said that he looks very young and doesn't fit in many characters. How does he take such comments? "It's all to do with success and failures. Look at Zac Effron abroad he is such a big star and he is merely 22. It's all about doing your work diligently and with passion," Shahid says.

From his lover boy image, he went through a sea change as an actor with Vishal Bhardwaj's Kaminey. What does he plan to do next? "I want to do a fun film next. Be it Kaminey or Paathshala, I have done serious stuff of late. I want to do a young film now," he replies.

What about Mausam, his father Pankaj Kapur's directorial debut? "I am very excited since I will be working with my father at the helm of affairs," he ends.
