Shahid is now a star, literally!

Shahid Kapoor has got a special gift on his birthday. His fans have bought the actor a star. The certificate claiming that the heavenly body is now named Shahid was delivered to him, reports Mumbai Mirror.

"Shahid celebrated his birthday in Goa with a bunch of friends. When he returned to his Andheri residence, he was surprised to see this unique gift waiting for him. A bunch of fans had bought a star for him and named it Shahid. The official letter from the company and a certificate claiming that the star is now named Shahid was delivered," the actor's friend told Mumbai Mirror.

The star named after Shahid is located in the Orion constellation. "The star was booked by his fans through the official website starfoundation.net. Shahid was overwhelmed by this gesture. He wears a bracelet that his fans had earlier given him," the friend told the tabloid.

Shahid spokesperson has confirmed the story to the tabloid.

Shahid Kapoor was apparently accompanied by Nargis Fakhri to Goa's Morjim beach, where

According to Mumbai Mirror, Shahid Kapoor plans to have a spectacular birthday bash in Morjim beach, where his friend has a bungalow. 


While most of Shahid Kapoor's friends flew down for the big party last night, Shahid along with Nargis reportedly left for Goa on Wednesday morning itself. As per reports, Shahid, who will be celebrating his birthday on February 25th has planned a very grand party.


While Genelia D’Souza, Rani Mukerjee, Tabu, Kunal Kohli, Ahmed Khan and Siddharth Anand are few of the guests invited by Shahid at the bash, sources claim that Shahid Kapoor hasn't invited his girlfriend Priyanka Chopra at the party.

MUMBAI: Shahid Kapoor celebrated his 31st birthday Saturday with 30 of his close friends in Goa, and says he had a blast.


"Just spent the last two days with 30 of the maddest, funnest people... Great to feel friendship, love, real smiles and joy with those who matter. Will miss you Goa... You really are special," Shahid posted on his Twitter page.


"Home to family now... ok people time to get onto that plane and back to reality... Home, family and Kaizer (dog), I miss them... Love you all, thank you," he added.


Several celebrities attended the birthday party including filmmaker Kunal Kohli, photographer Atul Kasbekar, and others including Nargis Fakhri and Tabu.


After the trip, Kasbekar tweeted: "@shahidkapoor Whattey trip. Thank you for the most amazing time. And a happy happy again."


Kohli, who is directing Shahid in his next, wrote: "Had a great time in Goa @shahidkapoor was a great host, two days of just Goa, fun, food and drinks."
